I was at that point between being awake and being asleep. That’s where I find answers to the questions that I want answered.
I thought of times where I lied to myself and realized that many others must be doing the same. Many of us are putting on masks in order to conform and impress others. It’s pointless because the people that we are trying to impress are wearing masks too. Be genuine.

There’s this girl that I would rather forget. She’s beautiful. Her short hair is black and she wears a pair of glasses that match her love of sarcasm. I wanted her to be my woman. It’s rare to find a girl with an honest sense of humor. She laughs when she wants to. And if she doesn’t think something is funny, she won’t. I guess I fucked up.
I would rather forget her.
It’s tough though. I had a dream we were walking through the mall together. We walked through my city together, holding hands. I touched the mess of a bun on the top of her head. It was a warm summer night and she was wearing a tank top. It all felt too real.
That was the first time I woke up from a dream and was angry. I was angry that I ended up in a nightmare.
